Happy St Patrick's Day/ Beannachtai Na Feile Padraig
To give news from the Divine Word School of English and to wish St Patrick's Day Greetings.
Wishing all a very Happy St Patrick's Day, Beannachtai Na Feile Padraig.
News from the school is as follows: we currently have students from Brazil, China, Italy, Korea, Poland, Russia, Spain and Syria. Levels at the moment are at Early Intermediate (B1) and Upper Intermediate (B2). We have some students preparing for the Cambridge FCE examination and will soon begin more work on the Cambridge IELTS.
Our activity programme has gone well and we have had all activities since the beginning of the year. Our weekend excursion before lent was to the Galway and the Arran Islands. We had our pancake making experience again this year on Shrove Tuesday where students made pancakes in the village in Maynooth and sold them in aid of our current charity ATD Fourth World.
Your correspondent made the usual trip to Rome in February and had an opportunity to meet people in 25 different colleges, offices and universities. It will hopefully be a successful trip for the school.
We are currently receiving our registrations for the summer months and hopefully this will be another busy time at the school.

We have had a busy few days recently preparing for St Patrick's Day; an introduction to Irish Sports, a lecture on Irish History, classes have learnt Irish Ballads and today we had an introduction to Irish Dancing. Hope you can do something Irish to mark St Patrick's day and please think of us all here on the Emerald Isle.
