Courses

The Divine Word School of English is recognised by the Irish Department of Education and Science for the Teaching of English as a Second Language.

• Courses are held throughout the year.
• Minimum stay: 2 weeks.
• All levels from Elementary to Advanced
  (One-to-one tuition can be arranged for Beginners until they have reached the level of a group class).
• Maximum class size: 12.
• All teachers are university graduates with specialised training in Teaching English as a Second Language.
• Preparation for external examinations: Cambridge PET, FCE, CAE and IELTS.
• Textbooks included in course fee
• Classes are taught by different teachers, each concentrating on a particular aspect of the language. This provides variety in the learning process.

Sample timetable:

08.45 – 09.45: Reading comprehension and vocabulary building.
09.45 – 10.45: Grammar form and function.
10.45 – 11.15: Break.
11.15 – 12.15: Listening and speaking skills.
12.15 – 13.00: Practice in the forms and styles of writing.
