Activities
The school organises a variety of social and cultural activities. These provide an opportunity to practise English outside the classroom.
- One social and cultural activity each week (October to June) included in course fee.
- Two social and cultural activities each week during summer programmes included in course fee.
- Typical activities may include the following:
- Lectures on Irish history and culture.
- Visits to museums and places of historical interest.
- Full and half-day coach excursions.
- Visits to the theatre, cinema and concerts of classical music.
- Irish music sessions.
- Country and coastal walks.
- Social evenings.
- During the academic year, students have the opportunity to attend public lectures, conferences and concerts in St. Patrick's College and the National University of Ireland, Maynooth (NUIM), which are located close to the school.
- Six weekend excursions (2 or 3 days) to the west coast of Ireland are held each year. There is an additional charge for participation in these trips (€100 to €170, depending on duration and location). All other activities arranged by the school are included in the school fees.
